The Portlandia Experience - Market Street Pub

I arrived Saturday, and was greeted by some beautiful weather. I got in a little after 3p (Pacific), and started with a trip to a local pub. My friend Sam had recommened a particular brew mix called the "Rubinator." It's a mix of ther Terminator Stout, and the Ruby Ale - wow! This is not featured on the menu so make sure you are taking notes. I went a step further and asked one of the servers if he could recommend another custom concoction, and I was hooked up with the "Griswold." The contents of which I have since forgot, but make sure to get a pint of each if the opportunity arises. I used these to wash down the delicious burger called "The Dungeon Burger." By default, this burger comes with swiss cheese, and grilled mushrooms, and I had them add grilled onions. All of that, and tots on the side, as if there is any other choice.

Market Street Pub is one of many McMenamins pubs/breweries. They are located at 1526 S.W. 10th Portland, OR 97201. I get to come back to Portland in a couple weeks for more job training and I will definitely be stopping by here again. Not only was the food and drink delicious, but the staff was incredibly nice and happy to help with a recommendation. Hopefully the weather is as nice so I can utilize their patio seating. Zum Wohl!

About the artist

In 2002 my father bought me a desktop computer for school, and on one of the last pages of the checkout process they offered me a digital camera, a Sony Mavica MVCFD100 to be precise. You know, the big ugly digital camera that you could plug a 3.5" floppy disk into the side of. From that moment forward, I became the camera guy.
